Those who support Sunrise Day Camp, like Corey Ribotsky, will have the chance to win amazing prizes from the raffle. Prizes include a 2011 Maserati GT convertible, a Monticello Motor Club Cadillac CTSV High Performance Driving Experience, an Americana Manhasset $1,000 Shopping Spree and more. Tickets are $250 for each ticket, or 5 for $1000 and only 1200 raffle tickets will be sold in total.

They selected Sunrise Day Camp as their choice for 2011.  As committee Chairwoman Christine Remsen, Richner’s marketing director, explained, “The selection process was a wonderful experience, bringing together employees from various departments to work for a common goal.”

Now, REACT plans to spend the year offering media coverage to Sunrise Day Camp through stories, interviews, photos and coverage of events.  Certainly, the camp is delighted.  They rely on donations from people and organizations like Corey Ribotsky of the NIR Group, and they can always use extra media attention.

As the camp president and CEO, Arnie Preminger, said, “Sunrise Day Camp can only exist through the generosity of individuals and companies like Richner Communications. The camp is offered totally free to children who are going through chronic illnesses, and people don’t realize how much of an impact this can have on the family financially. By allowing us to tell our story, it will bring more donations to the table. To us this is a godsend.”

As the first and only day camp in the country designed for children with cancer, Sunrise welcomes children from the age of 3.5 to 16 to get away from their hospital stays and their feeling of confinement and to enjoy a camp experience.  The camp is offered free of charge to participating children and is funded by its generous donors and sponsors, and by events like the Sixth Annual Walk to Help the Sun Rise.

The Annual Walk includes three courses with 1 mile, 2 mile and 5 kilometer choices.  Walkers will enjoy being part of the fun, and those who don’t enjoy walking can sponsor walkers or making a donation.

The walk, held at the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds, will end with a fun filled Finish Line Celebration including food, games, crafts, pony rides and more.

Sunrise also provides a range of programs throughout the year that fill the emotional, social, recreational and physical needs of young people dealing with the multiple challenges of cancer. That’s why donors like Corey Ribotsky of NIR Group, and the many supporters who enjoyed the Harvest Ball on October 16^th, 2010, fill such an important role in enabling Sunrise and the Friedberg JCC to continue their important work for New York’s children with cancer. While enjoying a fabulous evening of good food, music, dancing, and great auction and raffle prizes, attendees of the Ball got the chance to honor members of the JCC family and to benefit the important achievements of the JCC and Sunrise.

Corey Ribotsky, founder and manager of the investment firm N.I.R. Group LLC, helps Sunrise Day Camp with his financial backing. He would fully support such a venture. The organization seeks to provide assistance and enjoyment for children between the ages of 3 and 16 who are suffering from cancer. The camp is the “only dedicated day camp in the nation for children with cancer,” and sets out to meet both the physical and emotional needs of the children who attend.

The camp can be found on a stunning 300-acre wooded site which borders Nassau and Suffolk counties, Long Island, New York. Children with cancer are not asked for any payment for the camp; Sunrise Day Camp relies on the generous donations of individuals such as Corey Ribotsky.

Sunrise Day Camp is the only camp in the country that is dedicated exclusively to children with cancer and their siblings. Children between the ages of 3.5 and 16 can enjoy fun and friendship free of charge as a result of the fundraising efforts and generous contributions made my so many in the community.

The evening will include an open bar, dinner, a D.J. and dancing and a great auction.
