The Children’s Medical Fund of New York was founded more than forty years ago, in 1966, when a group of people from Long Island decided to build “the finest children’s medical facility that the hand and heart of man can devise.”
This highly motivated group of self-less citizens worked tirelessly to see their dream through to fruition. It took seventeen years of fund raising, obtaining legislative authorization and dogged determination, but finally the Schneider Children’s Hospital opened in New Hyde Park, New York , in 1983.
Corey Ribotsky of the NIR Group is proud to be part of this dream-come-true, as the president of the CMFNY.
