The Onyx and Breezy Foundation, where Corey Ribotsky serves as a Foundation Member, is an organization whose purpose is to ‘provide financial support to credible organizations that benefit the welfare of animals.”

In order to raise funds for their cause, Onyx and Breezy organizes events, one of which took place last March in Florida. The First Annual Onyx and Breezy Foundation Island Gala was one of those special events which was organized to help animals on the island of Sanibel. On hand were more than 150 people, including the founders of Onyx and Breezy, Mark and Wanda Shefts, Corey Ribotsky of NIR, his wife Stacey, and many others.

There are a variety of ways one can support the Onyx and Breezy Foundation – an important charitable organization set up in 2004 by the Shefts’ to “honor the memory of their two Labrador retrievers.” This foundation – of which Corey Ribotsky is a member of the Board of Trustees – has spent many years helping animals in distress through various fund-giving projects.

For those interested in supporting this work, the Foundation has an online store through which one can purchase related products such as T-shirts, fleeces, sweatshirts, keychains, mugs, totes, wine pull, web cams and more. This provides a great way of supporting a very giving organization, while getting something in the process.

The Onyx and Breezy Foundation has been quite busy recently and this trend is set to stick for a while. Over the last few months, events have included the following: Nyack Springfest from 10am to 5pm on April 17, in Nyack; the Hoboken Arts and Music Festival as well as the Westfield Spring Fling, both on May 1. Three weeks later saw the Charter Day Celebration of Bernards Township in Basking Ridge, NJ, on May 21.

Upcoming at the Onyx and Breezy Foundation is the Denville Street Festival on June 5 as well as the Somerville Spring Spectacular on the same day. So there is a lot going on and this important organization is doing a lot to raise much-needed funds so that it can continue in its important work. Corey Ribotsky is a supporter of this foundation that was set up to assist animals in distress.

Corey Ribotsky is a supporter of the Onyx and Breezy Foundation which seeks to help animals in distress and raise money to benefit their welfare, especially when there is a financial difficulty among the owners. The foundation often hosts fundraising events and in March is due to hold its second annual island gala in Sanibel Island, Florida. Any time that a fun event can make money for such a foundation as Onyx and Breezy, it is good news for all those involved since it gets people more directly involved in the cause of the organization.

During the spring, Sanibel and Captiva Islands in Florida hosted the first annual Onyx & Breezy Foundation Island Gala. Held at Ellington’s, the event raised money to help animals on Sanibel. Over 150 people came to the event.

The foundation was started by Mark and Wanda Shefts in memory of their two black Labradors, and other sponsors include Island Paws, Lily & Co. Jewelry Gallery, Corey Ribotsky of the NIR Group, and his wife Stacey and more.

The successful evening included a silent auction, a live auction, a four course meal and entertainment from comedian Elayne Boosler.

Among the several non-profit foundations supported with funds from the NIR Group and Corey Ribotsky is the Onyx and Breezy Foundation. This foundation, whose mandate is to help animals in whatever ways are urgent, including providing medical care, medical equipment and money for research, makes sure that 100% of donations it receives goes towards helping animals. Not a penny is spent on administrative costs, so donors can feel happy that all their hard earned contributions go directly to aiding the animals.

The Onyx and Breezy Foundation, named in honor and remembrance of the beloved Labrador retrievers of Mark and Wanda Shefts, is one of several charitable foundations helped with support from the NIR Group and Corey Ribotsky.

The foundation, begun in 2004, assists animals by giving financial help to:

•    Fund equipment for medical centers
•    Fund research
•    Give medical treatment to animals that would otherwise not be able to afford such treatment
•    Fund other organization that contribute to the well-being of animals
•    Fund other types of projects which help to benefit animals
