In spite of the fact that 2008/2009 was a difficult year for global markets, the NIR Group of Roslyn New York was able to boast a successful fund, the AJW Offshore II, which was listed among the top 50 Hedge Funds in the prestigious Barron’s list of top 100 Hedge Funds of 2008.
According to Barron’s, AJW Offshore along with the other listed funds, earned annualized returns over a three year period in the double digits, and the majority were headed upward for 2008.
Hedge funds are designed to do well in weak markets, and the AJW fund performed like a charm.
