David Ratzker, formally of Yorkville Advisors and a graduate of Yeshiva University where he was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree, was recently added to the investment team of the NIR Group, under the leadership of Corey Ribotsky.
Mr. Ratzker will manage a portfolio of equity investments in publicly traded companies. He is well suited to the task as he has experience structuring over $300 worth of private equity deals in publicly traded companies. The corporations David dealt in spanned many business sectors including energy, clean-technology and telecommunications.

Joining the investment team at NIR Group of Roslyn New York is David Ratzker, who will be heading NIR’s structured equity investments and Portfolio Manager.
Sighting Bank of America as a recent example, Corey Ribotsky explained, “With Bank of America recently raising over 13 billion though a similar structure, it is clear that this is the best environment for this strategy that I have seen in 15 years. David is uniquely qualified and we are confident he will identify attractive investment opportunities.”

When markets are not performing well, as has been the case in recent months, it is even more impressive and noteworthy when a fund does do well.
In an article in Barron’s highlighting the successful hedge funds of 2008, AJW Offshore II is listed among those funds which “Aced the Stress Test” of the tough, poor perfoming, marketplace of funds.
AJW Offshore is a hedge fund of the NIR Group of Roslyn, New York whose managing partner is Corey Ribotsky.
He can be happy that he was able to lead his investors to double digit gains in 2008 and three year annualized returns to be proud of.
